Now for the guys... who by the way did not apply... I went on a man hunt, lol - do you know that song? Here they are: Taylor Masters representing Emerald HS, Marvaye Payton representing Abbeville HS, and Colby Tharpe representing Greenwood HS. These guys are HOT on their own... but just wait until you see them in a tux!! I'm excited! I'm sure they'll catch a lot of heat (to put it nicely... but you know what I really mean) from their guy friends... but seriously... what guy wouldn't want to do this.... 14 Beautiful Girls hanging on them in the most incredible photo shoot ever!! Trust me.. there were a few! One told me I would have to PAY him... to quote him exactly "I'll do it if there's money involved"! Sorry... only Fame here, lol!!

The shoot will be this Sunday at the Southern Elegance Bridal and Prom Boutique located on 72 Bypass in Greenwood, SC. These 17 models will be styled with hair and make-up... well, not the guys of course, and photographed by me! There'll be food, music, laughter, lights, attitude and action! Sorry... but this is not a public event.... I'll have sneak preview teaser shots up by Monday the 17th so keep watching!

Models are being announced all weekend on Facebook (Click Here) for the Big Event! It's the 2010 Southern Elegance Prom Shootout with 20 gorgeous models who are going to look outrageously beautiful in the 2010 prom styles! These models represent high schools through out upstate South Carolina with the majority being from Greenwood, Emerald, Ninety Six and Abbeville! T.L. Hannah, Boiling Springs, D.W. Daniel and there are more to come!

Ok... so as you know I'm working on the Southern Elegance 2010 Prom Shoot and the response for models has been AMAZING.... however I have all girls!!! So..... here's the challenge and reward for male models!

If you submit a name to me for a male model and that guy is chosen (and models) then you will receive a free Facebook Profile Image!!! You, me, the camera and bam! Here's the dirty.... email me his name (he must be on Facebook) - hot, friend, boyfriend, cool, popular, tough, sportsman, and did I mention HOT?? I MUST know you referred him BEFORE he is confirmed as a model, because once he is confirmed you can't slip in on the backside. Ok...can I just say it's FUN! OH.... you want details! Well, for starters you get a FREE modeling session. This is NOT your senior pictures - you'll come back for that FREE session in June! This Modeling Session is more of a High Fashion shoot where the photographer (me, me, me) is in charge (oh yea, I like that part!).

Clothes, locations, sets, lighting, posing, hair and make-up will be planned for maximum impact.
I'm soooooo excited to be sending my models to Salon Beverly in Greenville for professional styled hair and make-up before their shoot!
Facebook images - oh yeah baby -we're going to show you off!
and.... several surprises! Ha ha, I can't tell you everything!

What does a model do? Straight to the point.... they refer other seniors for their senior pictures. And how do they do that.... well that's the easy part. For starters Models receive an unlimited supply of referral cards with their pictures plastered all over it. Second we'll facebook it up! That's right! Everyone uses facebook these days and trust me.... your friends will be asking who took those awesome shots of you! Finally email - yea, yea, yea - not you - me! Models supply me with emails for their top friends and those friend receive a special offer! Models earn points towards their Senior Pictures which we'll shoot in June (MORE FUN)! 20 points and you get a FREE laptop! Yes, Yes, Yes - you can start college with a brand new laptop!!!

I love this girl... need I say more? She was my Super Model for the day! We twisted, rolled, poked our body parts out, lol, and got down to business! I learned about her boyfriend, her Pizza Inn birthday party, that she's the best looking girl at school and that her dad snores REALLY loudly - I'm laughing at her imitation of him as I type this post! Oh, and there was also her mom's most embarrassing moment, but I'll let Mrs. Pam share that with you, too funny! Tampa was Awesome!

Last week I attended a National Senior and Youth Photography Conference in Tampa (well, actually St. Petersberg) Yes, Hubie and the kids went with me and while I basked in the wonderful world of incredible photographers they made their way through Busch Gardens and Sea World. I did get to Busch Gardens for 1/2 a day Sunday - and I can't tell you how much we laughed on the Wild Rapids ride. Hubie and Caroline had to empty water out of their shoes upon exiting the ride. Of course I made SURE I had something to cover my head before we went on. Anyway back to the conference. The stage was amazing, it was HUGE! There were over 300 photographers who attended to discuss the latest trends and where senior photography is going! Here's the view out of our window looking towards the Bay.

And last but not least these Metalic Prints! This phone picture is terrible, but these babies are GORGEOUS! Your image is printed on metal!! How cool is that!

Wow, I'm so excited, it's 2009 and it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!!! First, I'm leaving for Tampa in 3 days to spend time schmoozing with some of the BEST photographers in the US learning new tricks and the latest trends for youth and senior photography! Of course I'll be doing some site seeing too... Busch Gardens, here we come!

Let me first say that I hope everyone has a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas! Our house has been rockin since about 6:30 this morning, which is much later than previous years... thank goodness! The kids are wild with excitement and go from the one thing to the next. I must say that I'm personally loving Mariokart!!! Our home is a diaster and I'm not sure when I'll feel like attacking it.

Prior to the Christmas morning "how fast can I open this" rush, we were busy dealing with Elves. Yes they do bring us cool presents, however they also have their fun! This year they threw all of the old balls off of the tree, covered my car in window paint with sayings such as "Elves Rock", "It's FUN time again", and "Joy and Chance were here", and last but not least toilet papered our house - that's the picture!!!

2008 has been GREAT, and I'm so so so excited about 2009! I have one appointment left open for January, so if you need me call ASAP. For the most part I'll be with the kids, updating my blog and website, AND in Florida with some of the coolest senior photographers in the country learning new tricks and trends! I'm so EXCITED!

Little KM stopped by with her mother for a quick Halloween portrait - or so she thought! Halloween!!! I love the bright colors, dressing up in something outrageously funny, and of course the CANDY! Yes, I do raid my kids pumpkins - please don't tell them!

Last week I took a quick shot of my Jake and fell in LOVE with the image - notice it's now at the top of this page(I love it, just love it!). I couldn't stop staring at it and thought every mom needs an image of their own little cutie in an adorable costume. Then it hit me, and here's what I decided...

I'm supporting Ninety Six Primary School's Canned Food Drive this coming week by giving away a 5x7 Halloween image of your child with a donation of 5 cans of food! Oh, I can just see you doing the happy dance now, lol!

Thursday, October 30th between 4:00 and 8:00 I'm scheduling free 10 minute appointments. It's for children, it's going to be FUN and it supports a great cause, "Mommies who love pictures", just kidding! Call me, email me, text me - whatever you need to do - and set up a session or get additional details. FYI... word hit the streets 2 days ago and appointments began pouring in. I only have room for about 30 mini sessions and over half of them have been booked!

Just remember you need to show up with 5 cans of food or you can turn them into that FABULOUS first grade teacher, Glenda Vines!

Yes... I know you've seen this image before... but I'm so excited to let you know Taylor has won Miss Photogenic with this image in her last 3 pageants. First she won the title of Miss Teen Ware Shoals and Miss Photogenic. Next she competed as Miss Teen South Carolina American Queen at the national pageant in Daytona: here she was first runner up and won Miss Photogenic. Thirdly, she competed in Lexington County for the title of Miss Funfest and was second runner up, received a $250 scholarship and won Miss Photogenic.... AGAIN!!! Congratulations Taylor!!! I'm so excited for you!

Yes.... I swear! I know how my two can act when they're together, however Miss. Julia and IV were incredible to work with. So pleasant and willing to try most anything I asked. Ok.... so at first everything seems a little awkward - new surroundings, being in front of a camera, strange photographer lady - but all she needed was her best pal and WOW! Meet Georgia! She's my newest Senior Model from Emerald High School and what an awesome girl! We moved fast, changing clothes in the car, shooting at a junk yard and then in a daisy field - it was soooo much fun! Sadly she passed away during birth May 2, 2008, however she has touched many lives and will continue to do so. Her parents have blessed me with their courage and strength. I was contacted in March by her mother, Christina, through the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Organization. This incredible charity pairs Professional Photographers with parents who experience early infant loss and allows them to hold on to their memories forever. for absolutely awesome photos - and these two were up for anything I threw at them. Yep, I think I made a lasting impact when I asked the little man to get in the briar patch, how in the world could I have known that briars are one of his FAVORITE things! Actually I didn't even notice the briars for looking at his eyes... just look below and you'll see what I mean. His sister, A., who holds the title of Young Miss Teen Spartanbug, was a natural in front of the camera. We started outside, then moved into the studio for several outfit changes. Oh My Goodness, it's soooo hard to believe she's ONLY fourteen.

Oh our Christmas was Wonderful. We stayed here in town and enjoyed being together and playing games. If you don’t have UNO Attack it’s a must! Oh my goodness my sides were sore from laughing so much the first night we played!

2007 was such an amazing year! God continues to bless me and my family and I’m so so so excited about 2008. Speaking of the New Year I am booking sessions into February and March. For those of you who have inquired about Spring sessions now is the time to schedule them because Springs gets really busy.

And to start the New Year off with something fun, exciting and in the spirit of giving, the first three people who email me stating they read the blog today will be able to apply their session fee towards their print order – basically meaning your session will be FREE!! and I'm close to a panic attack with everything that we have going on. School plays, church plays, costumes, cookies, gifts, parties, elves... Oh My Goodness, these crazy elves that visit my house each year are going to make me insane! As you know last year they toilet papered our family and dining room one day, then threw eggs out of the refrigerator another. This year they seem to have calmed down some - well, except for the silly string they arrived with and the snowball fight they had in the kitchen with mini marshmallows last night. is this little model? Well, let me put it this way... as I snapped away she told me it was her job to get her picture taken. She models for several large department stores, but this weekend we were updating her cards for the agency. Miss N. was so much fun to work with and when we started out it was Freezing!! However the sun and her smiles warmed everyone up very quickly! Thank you for a great day T.

her little brother along, who's, well, not so little after all. Believe it or not he's 12 - and already taller than his 16 year old sister. We laughed, talked about Christmas and admired nature's beauty. It was a gorgeous fall day, exams were over with, and their family was beach bound. Leaves were falling as we left the park... this my favorite time of year - it's absolutely breath taking, and then it's gone.

With his super strength and her amazing cheer leading abilities this quick pose (LOL) is one of my favorites.

It was late in the afternoon, the park was crowded, people were relaxing in the grass and everyone sat back and watched as these two sisters stole the show. What a great way to end the day!

What an incredible day we had at the Pink Bee this past Sunday! I had so much fun meeting and photographing beautiful people in beautiful clothes! Joanna Sherman, the owner of the Pink Bee in Greenville, SC, has some AMAZING customers. It was great to get to know each family on a personal level. I met the the best laughers, several incredible posers, numerous energetic toddlers, one mom who had everyone laughing and a fantastic little girl who could guess any animal sound I came up with. In between all of this fun I managed to capture the most incredible images. I swear, I have the best job in the world! ....And now it's time for the sneak peeks I promised. it's almost impossible for me to keep it all contained! I'm working with several incredible commercial clients on displays that are going to be absolutely amazing in both Greenwood and Greenville. They are going to be colorful, upbeat and wonderfully fun! Oh, and get this, last week I was contacted by one of the largest publishing companies in the US for custom publishing and they've asked me to be their Greenville rep! Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm doing the happy dance! LOL! I'm also working with the Humane Society of Greenwood on a fantastic package for their silent auction so stay turned for more details.

Not only am I busy on the commercial end, this time of year gets very busy with clients trying to get their sessions in before Christmas. In order to have prints in time for Christmas gift giving your session must be booked on or before November 17th.....October is fully booked, and November only has a few openings left, so if are thinking about a session please contact me asap.

In between all of this excitement I've been shooting away, and my oh my are these two cute or what?
