Prom 2010 - PHOTO SHOOT

I'm so excited about the Prom Dress fashion shoot Sunday January 10th!!!! Of course it's with the one and only boutique for formal wear.... Southern Elegance. They are receiving incredible prom dresses daily and we need YOU to model them for Facebook Ads! Yes... that's right, you'll not only be on Facebook... you have a chance to be in the Ads!

• When: Sunday Janyary 10th, 2010
• Time: In the afternoon - not sure exactly what time you need to arrive yet.
• Who: This is for High School students who look good in formal wear - Girls & Boys!
• What: What the heck? What type of question is that?
• Fun: Hair & Make-up professionally styled. Lights, glamour, camera, action!

I've posted a discussion board on Facebook at Holubek Photography - and I'll answer questions here too. But if your not a fan of mine on facebook I STRONGLY suggest you go there right now, lol!

So.... What's this Holubek Model thing all about you ask!

Ok...can I just say it's FUN! OH.... you want details! Well, for starters you get a FREE modeling session. This is NOT your senior pictures - you'll come back for that FREE session in June! This Modeling Session is more of a High Fashion shoot where the photographer (me, me, me) is in charge (oh yea, I like that part!).

• Clothes, locations, sets, lighting, posing, hair and make-up will be planned for maximum impact.
• I'm soooooo excited to be sending my models to Salon Beverly in Greenville for professional styled hair and make-up before their shoot!
• Facebook images - oh yeah baby -we're going to show you off!
• and.... several surprises! Ha ha, I can't tell you everything!

What does a model do? Straight to the point.... they refer other seniors for their senior pictures. And how do they do that.... well that's the easy part. For starters Models receive an unlimited supply of referral cards with their pictures plastered all over it. Second we'll facebook it up! That's right! Everyone uses facebook these days and trust me.... your friends will be asking who took those awesome shots of you! Finally email - yea, yea, yea - not you - me! Models supply me with emails for their top friends and those friend receive a special offer! Models earn points towards their Senior Pictures which we'll shoot in June (MORE FUN)! 20 points and you get a FREE laptop! Yes, Yes, Yes - you can start college with a brand new laptop!!!

Oh My Goodness!!

It's April and my last post was February!! My how time flies when your having fun! I've been wonderfully busy lately, but most of my projects are well - hmmm - how would I put it, more of the commercial type, so I really can't post anything right now. However I'm shooting my first 2010 Senior Model this Friday!! Fun Fun! Oh, and guess what - I'm so excited, I'm working on a New Blog! It's so cool and has all of the latest and greatest features that I love!

Twice the fun with 2 sisters!

I had the opportunity to work with two gorgeous sisters and their mother Terri this week. Carolyne and Jayde were so much fun, so relaxed and knew how to preform in front of a camera. We were shooting head shots, but you know me.... I had to throw in a little excitement! Take a look!

February is Amazing in South Carolina....

Green grass, blue skies and a beautiful little girl who just turned two. Oh the fun her mother is in for over the next year or two. If you've been there then you know what I mean. It's like having a 2 year old going on 16, lol! And ....I get the feeling G (short for Glenda the Gorgeous Grandmother) is loving it.

How in the world....

do you choose just one for your Valentine card??? Both are gorgeous, spunky, fun, sassy, the list goes on and on! So... after several phone calls and some very quick decision making on the part of two moms getting kids ready for school the final choice was made. Oh, don't you hope your one of the Lucky ones to get this card and find out which one Miss Erin choose!

What an awesome Valentine - and I have his wonderful mother to thank for the catchy Valentines play on words! Paris is growing up right before my eyes, but he hasn't lost that look. He's so sweet to work with and can look me dead on in an instant!

How do I love thee... let me count the way!

I love this girl... need I say more? She was my Super Model for the day! We twisted, rolled, poked our body parts out, lol, and got down to business! I learned about her boyfriend, her Pizza Inn birthday party, that she's the best looking girl at school and that her dad snores REALLY loudly - I'm laughing at her imitation of him as I type this post! Oh, and there was also her mom's most embarrassing moment, but I'll let Mrs. Pam share that with you, too funny! The shots of her were to die for, and I wondered how she would ever choose a favorite, but if you know Erica, you know she LOVES her Build-A-Bear Bunny so here's her Valentine with her favorite shot!

Miss Photogenic AGAIN!

Congratulations AGAIN to Taylor Roberson who has now won the title of Miss Photogenic FOUR times in a row!!! I had not doubt she would win, because she's knock-out Gorgeous, but it just feels GrEAt know that yours truly took the photograph! Way to go Taylor!!!

Sophia's Valentine

Do you remember the secret shoot from December? I couldn't post the pictures because Sweet G may see them... well we turned one of those shots into her Valentine! I crazy love this design - the postage stamp - and she's Gorgeous!

Valentines Day BIG Special

Last night Caroline and I were discussing her Valentines Day cards for this year when it dawned on me that it's in like 3 weeks - yikes! Well, I don't know about you, but I can't go through another year of sappy Valentines! I'm crazy about this Day! It's the LOVE day and I personally think it should be done up BIG!! Tampa was Awesome!

Last week I attended a National Senior and Youth Photography Conference in Tampa (well, actually St. Petersberg) Yes, Hubie and the kids went with me and while I basked in the wonderful world of incredible photographers they made their way through Busch Gardens and Sea World. I did get to Busch Gardens for 1/2 a day Sunday - and I can't tell you how much we laughed on the Wild Rapids ride. Hubie and Caroline had to empty water out of their shoes upon exiting the ride. Of course I made SURE I had something to cover my head before we went on. Anyway back to the conference. The stage was amazing, it was HUGE! There were over 300 photographers who attended to discuss the latest trends and where senior photography is going! Here's the view out of our window looking towards the Bay.

And last but not least these Metalic Prints! This phone picture is terrible, but these babies are GORGEOUS! Your image is printed on metal!! How cool is that!

Happy New Year and then some....

Wow, I'm so excited, it's 2009 and it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!!! First, I'm leaving for Tampa in 3 days to spend time schmoozing with some of the BEST photographers in the US learning new tricks and the latest trends for youth and senior photography! Of course I'll be doing some site seeing too... Busch Gardens, here we come!
